There were a bunch of homeschoolers having a book sale nearby at the end of May. I called the organizer of the sale and asked if I could set a few boxes out if anyone wanted to donate anything they didn't sell when the day was done. She called me back that afternoon and told me to bring more boxes.
We are still working on shipping possibilities as it is very expensive. We have joined with the Shine Foundation who helps children in war-torn Liberia. They are also collecting books for the school they built there. We haven't worked out all of the logistics, but hopefully these African children in Liberia and Kenya will have some schoolbooks in the future.
CHECK OUT THE DONATIONS!!!
These are mostly reading books.
you are so giving of your time and your life. What a saint!
ReplyDeleteWow, that is wonderful. I don't know how you find the time to do all that you do!
ReplyDeleteWooWoo! That looks like a bundle. But, I do wonder, do they learn to speak and read English?
ReplyDeleteVery cool. We have adopted 3 Liberian children- 10, and two 14 year olds.
