For Sale- The Best House Ever!!
Well, it's done. The house is officially for sale.
2700+ square feet
4-5 bedroom plus study
2 full baths
large living room and kitchen
full utility room
fireplace
MIL
2 1/2 acres
3/4 fenced back yard
lots of trees
wooden treehouse/play structure with swingset
Anyone interested?

This may not be the fanciest house with the finest features, but it is the best house ever. On beautiful sunny days the kids have all the room in the world to run and play. We've held fun softball games in the back. The kids ride their child-sized four wheeler out back. We are off the main roads so it is very private. I never have to worry about the kids being outside playing for hours. On beautiful spring evenings, it is so nice to open all of the windows and enjoy the fresh air.

To tell you the truth, we have realized how much we love where we are and how much we adore our home. We will go from our beautiful, large, peaceful, quiet country-like setting to a concrete home with concrete all around. We will most likely be several floors up (we've heard 5- with no elevators) in an apartment. There will be no quiet. We will be in the city. There will be no fresh air. There will be no yard to play in and ride bikes all around.

Some days like this are very hard. Our selfish nature pulls us down and shows us all that we're leaving behind, all that we love, all that we consider perfect. However, we know God has a plan. We are just praying that His timing is perfect for the sale and that the next family will love it as much as we do.

All for HIM!

Kim, We are continuing to pray your family as you walk in faith along the path God has called you down.
Thank you for your honesty during this whole process about your fears and sadness as you let go of things and get ready to leave. Being real about our weaknesses is a great testimony of our faith and God's greatness. Thank goodness we don't have to be strong all the time. I have met alot of people that although scared to do what God has asked they would never let it show and let the calling be their show!! if you know what I mean.
I know your journey of even just preparing to move to China is a testimony to others. Thanks for sharing it, and being vunerable.
I put myself in your shoes with every step you are going through and ask myself "if you asked me to God could I really do it. "
He has asked us to do things that are way out of my comfort zone, sometimes he has to push me really hard to do it, but for some reason it doesn't seem quite as much of a stretch as a moving to a different county.
I know you are covered by prayer by so many people. What a comfort.
Again thanks for sharing your life.

I feel this too. Losing a yard and open spaces for the city is hard. But there are great things about a new culture too. I think it is good to reflect on the scripture about there being a season and a time for everything. Right before we left to Korea I really noticed and appreciated everything I loved about the U.S.- it helped me say good bye.

You mean it comes with a Mother-in-law? (MIL) =)))

Your place is beautiful, but you are going to a new place to change hearts!

This post made me cry. I remember crying as I packed up my freshman dorm room, and every subsequent move...there have been plenty of tears shed. It is so hard. Praying for grace for you to say goodbye.
