Well, I know everyone has been waiting on birthday pics. I am having MAJOR computer problems and it crashes on me a million times every day. It makes it virtually impossible to accomplish anything on the computer. We've also been very busy with some life changes and scheduling adjustments with the coming on of summer.
Anyway, hopefully, I will get this posted before my computer goes out again.
L and El had their first birthday party last week at our church. Our church has an amazing Children's Ministry. We are so incredibly blessed by God to be a part of His work there. The entire children's center is done up like a castle and its theme is "Kingdom Kids". The kids' church is held in "The Palace." One of the ministries our church offers to our children is a place to have birthday parties. The parents do and bring everything, but the Kingdom Kids facility is open to be used. There are video games, inflatables, music, video, the "Creamery" for cake and ice cream and the whole Palace area just for kids.
There is an older couple in our church that is just precious. They love children and dress up like clowns and put on magic performances for the children's ministry. They also do birthday parties. They are funny and really mezmorize the kiddos. (They are also the ones who raised money to help with L and El's dental bills when they first came home.) Anyway, they were a highlight of the day.
Playing with video games and obviously making "car" sounds. Checking out the clown's horn. El and L posing for "Picasso" to paint their picture. All 3 boys being "volunteers" for the magic show. I am now going to feel fortunate that my computer hasn't crashed yet and I will wrap it up for now. I hope to have more pics and catch up with everyone soon. Some things that I hope I can blog are a trip to the dino museum with my mom, the results of book sale donations for the Kenyan school, readoption of El and L here in Oklahoma, more of El and L's birthday, and J's birthday which is this week. |
