Good Morning!
THIS IS WHAT WE WOKE UP TO THIS MORNING:

OUR DRIVEWAY

OUR BACKYARD PLAY AREA

A TREE BRANCH

OUR TREE LINE ALONG THE FENCE SEPARATING OUR PROPERTY AND THE NEIGHBORS' PROPERTY

OUR FAMILY'S FAVORITE TREE IN THE FRONT YARD

THE KIDS' "CLIMBING TREE", READING TREE, SHADE TREE FOR THE SANDBOX BURIED UNDERNEATH THE RUBBLE, THE TREE THAT BLOCKED OFF OUR HOUSE FROM VISION OF OTHERS(PRIVACY), BEAUTIFUL BRADFORD PEAR

CAN YOU TELL WE ARE DEVASTATED?

Update: The forecast is for more ice and rain over the next few days. These pics were taken this morning and it is about 11:15 a.m. and we have lost even more trees. The weatherman says tomorrow will be the big day for tree loss and electricity outages because the precipitation will continue, the temps are staying low, and tomorrow the wind comes back.

BTW, the pics are a little dark on the blog. You can click on them to see them up close and a little more clearly.

Oh no. With all that added weight, it's no wonder the trees are splitting. You had a bad ice storm last year, too, didn't you?

Wow. We haven't seen ice that bad here in a few years. (We lost a lot of trees back then too) ... Bummer about the one tree though. :( I would be sad too!

Wow ... and I thought our windstorms a couple weekends ago were bad. I feel for you, its quite the adventure when storms hit. Take care and stay safe.

All of your neighbors to the south are thinking of you and praying for you. I really hope you still have your electricity and are staying warm.

The sound of cracking trees is one of the most eerie sounds ever. Sending hugs your way...

Oh, I'm so sorry! Hang in there and stay warm and safe. We lose trees too... a little differently though. They either topple over when the soil gets too wet, or the redwood tops break off in the wind and come screaming down like spears.

I've been praying for you since I heard the storms were headed your way. Glad you're all safe. Bummer about the tears. Hope today has brought too much more damage.

I'm in Tokyo and the storm is the top news story over here (on CNN). Sorry that you have to go through this.
