Christmas Claus
The bwins are so excited about Christmas. The kids have been buying each other gifts and starting to put them under the tree. Every day L asks, "Presents, zaftra(tomorrow)?" They know that Santa is coming and bringing them gifts. They just don't understand when or how. Hence comes the following story.

Preface: L still doesn't say Santa Claus. He calls the jolly ole guy Christmas Claus.

Story: Last Friday our doorbell rang and everyone went rushing to see who it was. The kids were just ahead of me and opened the door. Standing in our doorway was a gray-headed and gray-bearded man holding two boxes. All of a sudden, L exclaims, "Christmas Claus! Presents!" Then he got quiet and was looking around. Then, in his usual bold demeanor, he says, "Where's bike?"

The man in our doorway looked highly confused. I explained that L thought he was Santa and was looking for the bike that he had asked him for earlier in the week. He just laughed and handed me the packages- Priority Mail packages. You see, it was our postman.

Cute story! How neat to have a postman delivering packages that looks like santa!

Ha! That's a great story! I wonder how often your postman gets comments like that from confused children?

Maybe you can make a countdown chain to help the boys understand how many more "sleeps" till Christmas Claus comes! We made ours today (a tradition for D) we only have 11 links on it this year - we were a little late!
