What Happens When We Live God's Way? |
Galatians 5
But what happens when we live God's way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard--things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments.
Meditate a few minutes on the character traits above. These are gifts from God.

What a refreshing post. I went to Galatians and looked for the verses which point these out, but could only find the 'fruit of the spirit' verse 5:22. Which made me curious about the chapter 3 verses in an earlier post.... what translation are you using? Just curious. =)

Sandy, I am using The Message. It is a paraphrase using modern English. It states things in a way that relates to our world today. For great scriptural exegesis, it is not the best source. However, I feel that it states things in a way that many people who didn't necessarily grown up with church lingo can understand. That is why I use it a lot on this blog.

Aha! Thanks for the reference. I haven't seen that translation... I'll have to check it out.
